History

OMAS Srl is a historic company from Lecco that designs and manufactures steel wire and strip forming systems.
Our machines have always tried to anticipate the needs of the market from a technical point of view, developing and then consolidating a name and a brand recognized all over the world.
With a multidisciplinary technical staff composed of mechanical, electronic and IT engineers, continuously updated and equipped with the latest analysis and simulation systems, new technologies are constantly being developed for our machines and technical proposals are customized in order to best satisfy the requests of our customers, proposing highly performing solutions for all product sectors.
All the systems proposed are based on guidelines dictated by a company philosophy that aims at the highest technical, manufacturing and environmental quality, allowing us to offer machines of the highest quality, with an absolutely incomparable price/performance ratio and considerably higher than market standards.

OMAS SINCE 1976

Foundation, production of tooling and first mechanical multislide machines of medium/small size.

Production of the first decoilers with hydraulic regulation.

Production of the first large-size bending machine and execution of the first application with multiple wires.

Launch of the FSA series, a line of machines dedicated to the production of welded round rings.

First partecipation in the WIRE 1988 fair.

Construction of the first ICS plant for the production of spools for welding wire, starting from a single coil wire.

Production of the first integrated line of the MEA series, for the production of flat welded rings.

Software development and first prototype of a CNC “feed and fold” machine and official launch with presentation at the WIRE 2000 fair of the first model CEB 300, equipped with the revolutionary Wiremach® programming system.

Realization of the first CEB 600 prototype with innovative concepts to allow a lower price at the same technological level.

Renewal of all three series of Multislide mechanical machines with fully electronic transmission.

Realization of the ICS line complete with inner reduction, with integration of 5 anthropomorphic robots.

Launch of the new software Wiremach Plus®.

First design studies of the BULL BENDING series.

Construction of a line for the production of welded rings for clutch discs.

The first BULL BENDING complete with the programming software Bending+Programming®, is made and delivered.

Study and performance optimization of the new BULL BENDING series.

Introduction of the new series of gripper servo-feeders which, thanks to their performance and precision, allow them to be used on both mechanical Multislides and BULL BENDING machines.

Realization of the first BULL BENDING machine with LASER welding

Optimization of the BULL BENDING software which on machines with automatic positioning of the

bending slides, allows to save up to 90% of the set-up time.

Many products so far made on mechanical machines are “moved” to the BULL BENDING series (the future has become the “present”).

The MEA series is replaced by the BULL BENDING series, the quality certification of the BULL BENDING project.

The new Bending + Programming® software and the new operator interface EasyPlay HMI®, have been released on all machines.
